Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some weddings from 2013 that never made it to the blog! First up are a couple North Shore weddings and a Fairmont Copley Plaza wedding that kicked the Spring of 2013 into gear! Check them out below!
June of 2013 had us on the North Shore in Beverly a couple of times! This time it was at the Estate at Moraine Farm which charmed us with their beautiful green grounds with tented reception that felt warm yet airy in the middle of it all. Our couple had a lot of fun and used the grounds to the fullest for lawn games, first look and formal photos...as well as just general fun!
A fantastic spot for the first look is the lowered gardens straight down the lawn past the tent and ceremony location at the Estate. Our groom eagerly awaited his bride and greeted her surrounded by a lush green.
The couple made these awesome tile place cards and also made sure there were signature cocktails!
The ceremony took place on the lawn and was bright and serene.
After some post-ceremony fun and lively photos and couple-only lawn games it was time to get the party started in the tent.
Later in June is a time when weddings overlooking the ocean start becoming common and we always look forward to it! Misselwood at Endicott College in Beverly, MA always provides a beautiful refreshing experience celebrating with friends and family while taking in the ocean air and views.
After the magnificent ceremony on the lawn on top of a bluff with an elevated ocean view we headed into Misselwood's great permanent tent and adjacent outdoor terrace for the cocktails and reception!
The spring of 2013 continued on with this great Fairmont Copley Plaza wedding! Our couple had all of their family outside cheering on the First Look and the day went on like that from there!
After the grand ballroom ceremony and cocktails in the Oval Room, the reception kicked off and was highlighted by the groom on drums driving his college band playing a few tunes at the wedding!
2012 Wedding Re-Post
Alessandra & Francesco are a sweet and dynamic couple who celebrated their wedding day in Boston's historic Italian neighborhood, The North End. Alessandra is co-owner of North End Yoga on Hanover St. It's truly a peaceful and inviting environment inside, so be sure to check it out!
From the preparations to the church to the boat ride across the harbor we were up and down Hanover St and more on this energetic September 2012 wedding celebration. The bride and co. were preparing across the water at the Hyatt Boston Harbor, and the guys were in the North End enjoying the rooftop deck.
We headed to the church, St. Leonard's on Hanover St in the North End, for the ceremony.
No limo's here! We spent the next hour or so walking the roughly 3/4 mile through the North End toward Battery Wharf where we would get on a boat and cross the harbor to the Hyatt. With the whole wedding party in tow, this was also our photo session with them and the bride and groom. This walking caravan made for a unique and fun wedding and photograph experience!
Once we got to Battery Wharf we jumped in the boat and it was champagne time!
The Hyatt Boston Harbor offers great views of the city, made even better with the chance for a sunset over the water.
The introductions and reception started off the in the large outdoor tent overlooking the water. Megan, the wedding coordinator at The Hyatt always makes things run smoothly and is great to work with.
Francesco in his spare time is a great DJ and spins at different clubs in the city. He took control of the dance party in the booth for a while at the reception and owned it!
I had a lot of fun photographing and getting to know Alessandra and Francesco. I'm so happy for them and I look forward to seeing them in town soon!
The wind and cold were real on this late November day but the Charles River behind Cambridge's Royal Sonesta was too much to pass up for a glowing first look on our couple's wedding day.
The nighttime, intimate ceremony preceded a lively reception party upstairs.
Hi everyone! I am reorganizing the blog for 2014 but am also redesigning older posts. I have most of the 2012 posts back online and will have a series of 2013 wedding wrap-up posts in the following weeks! Stay tuned, and check back often! :)
A cold fall day is one of many ideal times to have your wedding celebration at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. This Jewish celebration filled the historic hotel's Grand Ballroom with an elegant yet playful energy!
Next we headed down to the private beach at Wychmere Beach Club for the couples' first look and photos together on the water.
The ceremony took place in the sunshine on the lawn overlooking Nantucket Sound. It was an open fresh summertime feel.
The Wychmere's chic reception design was enjoyed with both the soft light pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows as well as more dramatically later on after the sun went down.
Before heading into the reception, the couple enjoyed a short boat ride out into the sound followed by photos on the dock upon their return to cheering guests!
The ceremony was filled with emotional speeches and plenty of fun dancing. It was a perfect wedding at The Wychmere Beach Club.
