As what is affectionately referred to in the indistry as "engagement season" is quickly arriving, I thought I'd share an engagement session I did earlier in the summer ahead of a wedding which was just this past September. E-sessions are a great way to become accustomed to being in front of the camera and familiarize with the body mechanics that are ideal for imagery and different levels of scene direction vs. spontaneity in a couples' photo session. They are also a great way to get to know and hang out with your photographer in a fun environment and I love it!

This fantastic couple enjoyed the beautiful summer day exploring the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. Although their engagement photo session was why we were there, it was also just a fun day at the park which Ken Marcou Image & Media was there to capture.
We did some directed scenes at each location but they were so natural and playful that it was great to just let it roll and we were able to get many different looks in different areas!
We worked for these next few! It is a STEEP climb to get up this hill!
Mike and Jess were certainly aclimated to being in front of the camera and Ready for the wedding day in September...and we had a great time! They were married at The Dane Estate in Chestnut Hill, MA in September. Look for those images on this blog soon!
Congratulations to all the newly engaged couples and don't hesitate to get in touch with any photography or wedding planning questions...I'd be glad to help. And, Happy Thanksgiving!
